Mufaddal Mithaiwala is a resident of SDV’s Northeast office in New Jersey, where he represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes against insurance carriers. He has a strong, diverse and extensive background in insurance law with experience handling complex general liability matters, premises liability, labor law, automobile liability, and transportation/trucking liability, for a wide range of clients, including small, national, and international businesses and corporations. His experience includes extensive discovery (including substantial deposition experience), motion practice, as well as settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations. This experience serves his ability to evaluate and analyze claims and coverage disputes and develop effective strategies to resolve them efficiently with an eye towards client goals.

Mufaddal received his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston, where he was awarded several Dean’s Lists awards. He was also awarded the Public Service Honor Roll, received the CHHEP Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, and was a part of the ABA Negotiation Competition’s first-place team. He is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association.

Mufaddal is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey.
