Caitlin Rabiyan (née Van Voorst) is a resident of the firm’s West Coast office where she represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters. Her work includes a diverse range of matters representing corporate and individual policyholders.
Caitlin comes to SDV with extensive litigation background in a broad range of cases, including general liability matters, personal injury, premises liability, and employment disputes. Her experience includes complex discovery, hands-on deposition experience, motion practice, mediations, and jury trials in multiple jurisdictions. This experience helps her evaluate and litigate claims and disputes effectively with the client’s goals in mind.
Caitlin received her Juris Doctor degree cum laude, and multiple recognitions, including induction to the Pro Bono Public Service Honor Society and the National Order of Scribes. While in law school, Caitlin competed in moot court appellate advocacy competitions and led her team to victory at a national competition held annually at the University of California, Davis. Her other law school experience included clerking for the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, as well as pro bono work with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego.
