Oliver Stallmach is an Associate based in the firm’s West Coast office, where he focuses his practice on representing policyholders in insurance coverage litigation. He regularly assists clients in a variety of industries—including commercial and civil construction, healthcare, agriculture, and higher education—on matters in both federal and state court nationwide. Oliver has analyzed issues featured in complex claims, including catastrophic loss, prolonged loss of business income, long-tail liability, and has experience with the unique aspects of claims that involve extra-contractual liability including bad faith and unfair trade practices.
Oliver graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law where he was a recipient of several scholarships including the James E. Spain Family Endowment Award, the Michael Mohr Memorial Scholarship, and the Michael Konz Memorial Scholarship. While in law school and prior to joining SDV as a Law Clerk, Oliver worked on a variety of contract and compliance matters in the legal department of a multinational pharmaceutical company. This experience informs his understanding of the business considerations of policyholder clients.
In his free time, Oliver enjoys spending time with his wife, cooking new recipes, golfing, and traveling.
