Another Health Insurer is Hacked

As noted in this New York Times article, on March 17, national health insurer Premera Blue Cross announced that it was a victim of a cyber attack, which potentially exposed the private medical and financial data of 11 million customers.

This is the second major hack of a health insurer this year, and as the article notes, health security experts suggest that other insurers may have also been compromised but have yet to discover it.

By procuring a cyber liability policy with an adequate retroactive period, you can protect your company from some of the consequences of a currently undiscovered breach and ensure you have the coverage you need.
