Posted on Friday, February 24, 2017On Wednesday, February 22, two of SDV’s own, Alexandra Byrd and Stella Szantova Giordano, attended the “Women Who Build” summit in Hartford, CT. Only in its second year, this event attracted 200 women from the construction industry and featured both U.S. and international speakers. The summit was organized by the Construction Institute, a non-profit industry group that promotes education and relationship building among construction professionals.
“I was blown away by the collective level of experience and professional achievement of the speakers who participated in the panels. It was inspiring to meet so many women who are thriving in the construction industry, and are willing to share their stories,” said Stella. “It was a wonderful opportunity to make new connections and meet smart and successful women,” Alex agreed. “We are looking forward to attending next year!”
