SDV is proud to join other Signatories to the Connecticut Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Pledge in support of the adoption of proposed Rule 8.4. Rule 8.4 declares harassment and discrimination based on race, color, ancestry, sex, pregnancy, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, status as a veteran, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or marital status to constitute professional misconduct in the practice of law. Connecticut’s proposed rule is modeled off of the ABA’s Model Rule 8.4, which may be found here.
