Nora Gray is a resident of the firm's Northeast office and is actively involved with the firm's Risk Transfer practice group through her work with the LaborGuard program. She regularly performs policy reviews on behalf of corporate policyholders to ensure compliance with state and federal insurance requirements. In addition, Nora's practice includes routinely researching and resolving claims involving directors and officers policies and cyber risk exposure.
While in law school, Nora was inducted into The Society of Bar and Gavel, an honors society that recognizes outstanding leadership, service to the legal community, and dedication to goodwill. Nora was also a Miami Law School Ambassador and served as Vice President of the Cardozo Legal Society. In addition, her law school intern/externships included work with New York City Supreme Court, Civil Branch for the Honorable Margaret A. Chan.
Nora's background includes extensive experience with child advocacy efforts through her pro bono work at the Children and Youth Law Clinic. She represented young adults in the foster care system in their civil legal matters pertaining to dependency. She served as Vice President of the Child Advocacy and Family Law Society as a law student and served as a Guardian ad Litem in the 11th Circuit of Florida.
Nora initially joined SDV through the firm's Summer Associate program, returning as an Associate following graduation from law school. She currently serves as Co-Chair of Insurance Law for the Connecticut Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and baking. Nora was on the varsity crew team in college and placed at the NY State Championship races.
