Shelby Ross focuses her practice on representing a wide array of commercial policyholders in complex coverage disputes. Her clients include commercial property owners and corporations in various industries, including construction and real estate. Shelby first joined SDV as an Associate after completing the firm's Summer Associate program and worked as a Law Clerk during her last year of law school.

Shelby graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school Shelby served as the Supervising Editor of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal and the Vice President of External Competitions & Financial Director of Quinnipiac’s Moot Court Society. She also participated in the American Bar Association's National Appellate Advocacy Competition and the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition. In her third year of law school, Shelby externed with the Honorable Stefan R. Underhill, Senior United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.

Shelby graduated from Roger Williams University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Double Major in Economics with a Minor in Spanish. During undergrad, Shelby was the Captain of the Women’s Rugby Team and was a member of three honors societies.

Shelby is a resident of SDV’s Northeast office in Connecticut. She currently resides in New Haven, Connecticut. During her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, exercising, and exploring local coffee shops.
