Stephanie A. Giagnorio is a highly experienced insurance coverage attorney committed to providing practical advice and tenacious advocacy for policyholders. Stephanie handles insurance claims nationwide, litigating coverage disputes in multiple jurisdictions in state and all levels of federal courts. She assists clients in insurance claim recovery across an array of industries and under a wide variety of policies, including general liability, builder’s risk, commercial property, homeowner’s, crime and cyber, employer’s liability, directors and officers, environmental, and professional liability.
Prior to joining SDV, Stephanie worked in general civil litigation, and routinely handled insurance and contract disputes. Now focused exclusively on policyholder representation, Stephanie frequently advises clients on risk management strategies and advocates on their behalf to maximize recovery of claims. Her litigation practice has successfully resolved disputes at both the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts.

- Representation of federally recognized Indian Nations in pursuit of insurance recovery for Property and Crime claims.
- Resolution of federal litigation for delay damages and other builder’s risk coverage issues.
- Secured coverage for a non-profit under employer’s liability and directors and officers insurance.

Outside of the courtroom, Stephanie is a member of SDV’s Disaster Recovery Group and works with businesses and individuals to resolve insurance claims arising out of natural disasters. She regularly publishes articles on insurance coverage issues, legislative updates, and major court decisions. Additionally, she speaks on insurance topics at industry conferences throughout the country.
Stephanie spent most of her life in Illinois before moving to Florida to attend law school and currently resides in Naples, Florida. Stephanie was the Managing Editor of Law Review while in law school, where she graduated magna cum laude. She was also the recipient of the St. Thomas Fuller Tuition scholarship in addition to other academic awards.
In her free time, Stephanie trains for and runs in Spartan races and enjoys biking, hiking, and taking advantage of the beautiful Florida weather with her two dogs.
