This presentation will use recent high-profile construction disasters to illustrate the challenges in planning for and managing catastrophic claims, with an emphasis on practical advice and tips. Topics will include management of multiple attorneys, experts, and consultants; developing a risk transfer strategy that balances defense interests with insurance coverage interests; and dealing with, and maximizing recovery from, multiple lines of insurance coverage
